In just one month (and seventeen hours, but hey, who's counting?) my debut novel, DEAD HARVEST, will be released in the US and Canada. (That's February 28, for those playing along at home.) Two days later (on March 1), it'll be available in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the secret English-language moon base you just know NATO's been keeping under wraps for decades. (Note: that last one may not, strictly speaking, be true. As far as you know.)
I can't tell you how excited I am the big day is almost here. It's a cliché to call something a dream come true, but in this case, it's the truth. If you'd like to pre-order a copy of DEAD HARVEST, you're welcome to stop by my website, where I've compiled a list of links to bookstores in the US and abroad who're carrying it, from the indiest of indies to the biggest names in online bookmongery (which, as far as I'm concerned, should totally be a word.)
Also, in celebration of DEAD HARVEST's pending release, this weekend my Spinetingler Award-nominated Kindle short story collection 8 POUNDS will be absolutely, totally, 100% free to download. 8 POUNDS features eight tales of crime, horror, and suspense, including my fiction debut, "The World Behind," which first appeared in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, as well as my Spinetingler Award-winning "Seven Days of Rain," and my Derringer finalist "The Big Score."
All totally, for-seriously free.

So do me a favor, and spread the word. If you haven't read it, now's your chance. If you have and you enjoyed it, maybe suggest it to someone who might like it. But either way, act now. 8 POUNDS will only be available for free download from Friday, January 27 until Monday, January 30.
The clock is ticking...
